The Number One Homeschool Spark

Do you remember your most inspiring teachers? They were excited about learning and always had something to share.

Moms, you can be that inspiring teacher!!!

Here's how to spark your children's interest in learning...

The number one thing moms can do to spark, ignite, and fuel their homeschool journey is to develop a shelf-life of their own.

I am not talking about putting yourself “on the shelf” or checking out for hours and ignoring your home and family. I’m talking about reading broadly, expanding your horizons, and embracing the transformations that come when you keep learning.

Have you considered becoming a 15-Minute Scholar? Just fifteen minutes a day: reading, thinking, learning, can create this spark!

If you’re worried about falling down the rabbit hole, set a timer. Read the Bible, then spend fifteen minutes in a classic or great book. That’s it: simple, doable, and life-changing.

Read about faraway times and places. Discover the lives of inspiring men and women through biographies and autobiographies. Dive into great literature and uncover treasures that help you grow. Don’t just read for entertainment. Read to become a better, wiser, more inspired version of yourself.

To cultivate this spark:

  • Ask questions and stay curious.
  • Let books lead you to explore what you don’t know.
  • Take notes and frame meaningful quotes.
  • Apply the principles you glean in daily life.

And don’t keep it to yourself—share your journey!

  • Share your questions with your family.
  • Share the answers you discover.
  • Share the excitement of learning.

As you keep growing, you’ll always have something new and wonderful to bring to your homeschool. You’ll become that teacher, the one who inspires both children and adults.

This one spark can transform your homeschool in a powerful way!
